Altered Minds Concert
On Sunday, the 4th, I went to what might have been one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. The concert was a stop in the tour entitled ‘Altered Minds Tour’, and it consisted of two Christian rock artists (After Edmund & MikesChair) and two Christian hip hop artists (Tedashii & Lecrae). One of the reasons I loved this concert was because it combined two music genres in rock & hip hop. Though both are radically different than each other, they were both able to come together and rally around the central message of the evening, which was the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus and His greatness. The main reason I loved this concert was because of the amazing zeal and passion for Christ displayed in the artists. The first three acts were awesome and super energetic, and by the time Lecrae came out to finish the evening, everybody in the building was super hyped. It was awesome! Honestly, I’ve been to concerts before that were a lot more energetic and crazy than this one (the Unashamed tour of 08 in Orlando was bananas!), but something about this one just struck a cord with me. To close the evening out, Tedashii came back up and shared his testimony, which lead to into a great presentation of the gospel and a call for everyone to submit themselves unto the Lordship of Christ by repenting of sins and believing solely upon the gospel. Overall, I believe God was glorified that evening, and I was definitely edified & encouraged to continue striving hard for the gospel of Christ day by day.
